Job Description
We're looking for a Staff Product Designer on the Content team that will be in charge of making it easier to understand and start using the creative power behind Jasper, and faster to create high-quality content. Based on an understanding of our customers' needs, you'll design delightful solutions, test them with customers, and work with your PM and Engineers to bring them to life. Throughout, you'll clearly communicate vision, seek to remove ego, find the best solution, and measure to see if your solutions were successful.

The role is open to candidates located in the US and can be remote within the United States. We have offices in Austin, TX and Salt Lake City, UT with employees based across the US. We've built a strong foundation to support remote employees engagement with other teams. What you will do at Jasper:
- Understand how Jasper works and work with your PM on how to measure both short and long-term success for the Content team.
- Set vision, outcomes, own the end-to-end design work for the Content team that help customers become Jasper experts, fall in love with the tools, and keep them forever.
- Give strong direction to your teamโs dedicated PM and Engineers to research, ideate, run user tests, ship MVPs, and scale successful solutions.
- Identify customer needs and business opportunities through a combination of customer research, stakeholder feedback, working with the data team to deeply understand user behavior and engagement metrics, and competitive analysis.
- Turn ambiguous problems and big ideas into creative solutions, experiments, and research with minimal guidance.
- Influence the direction and building of a fast-scaling design organization. This would include creating and contributing to Jasperโs design system and establishing best UX practices throughout the product and company.
- Communicate clearly and crisply with leadership stakeholders, driving alignment across multiple teams and organizations through some formal processes and some scrappy ways.

- Come with a years-long track record and portfolio of shipping high-quality solutions fast, often and without ego. You have examples of doing so at notable, fast-paced companies. You create an environment where the best idea wins and keep solutions focused on the problem at hand.
- Constantly remove ambiguity โseeing the big picture and understanding how the pieces fit together. You take complex systems and simplify them, sometimes inventing new ways for to flows people to easily move through.
- You are an expert in creating simple, delightful experiences. You know how to fluidly move through the software you use to build low-fi and hi-fi designs. Weโre a Figma shop and youโre stoked to be using it.
- Clearly write and communicate their ideas. You share your reasoning and outcomes with a data/metrics mentality.
- Are known for listening, building trust, and collaborating with teams throughout the company. Stakeholders you work with sing your praises on always feeling in the know. The PMs and engineers you work with feel like equal partners and you constantly elevate their voices. The ones you've worked with would be sad to lose you.
- Have strong product judgment, current design tastes, and the ability to make decisions intelligently and quickly. In a fast paced environment, you understand the importance of when to unblock quickly, and when to dig in and understand something more thoroughly.
- Are passionate (or interested in becoming passionate) in building artificial intelligence and using machine learning for all different kinds of people.
Compensation Range
At Jasper, we believe in pay transparency and are committed to providing our employees and candidates with access to information about our compensation practices. The expected base salary range at offer for this role is $176,000 to $202,000 Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, competencies and certifications.
