Responsibilities
- Execute packaging design for new games from initial concept through to final, print-ready files delivered to vendors, ensuring on-time execution.
- Ensure packaging designs align with brand standards, product goals, cost of goods requirements, and are commercially viable for mass retail.
- Design structural and graphic design for game components including paper and vac trays, cards, instructions, and other specialty items.
- Support the visual development of toyetic and specialty components to enhance product appeal.
- Maintain all necessary cross-departmental game art assets such as 3D renderings, logos, style guide, and other art assets.
- Build and maintain accurate vendor documentation such as a visual bill of materials, assembly guides, and folding guides.
- Review factory samples for accuracy, color, structural integrity, and overall quality.
- Create in-house mockups and prototypes of boxes and paper trays.
- Assist in designing and rendering product displays such as shippers, CDUs, and FSDUs.
Requirements
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Bridge
- Strong command of typography, layout, information hierarchy, and color theory.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and print processes.
- Excellent organization and time management across multiple fast-paced projects.
- Excellent change management skills with a solution-based, creative approach to an agile and often unpredictable product development cycle.
- Toy, game, or CPG experience preferred.
- Experience in 3D packaging tools such as Esko Studio and ArtiosCAD (or similar) preferred.
- Based in Los Angeles, 3x a week hybrid work schedule
