Job Description
We are seeking a talented and creative Part-time Contract Designer with a strong background in both graphic design and User Experience (UX) design. As a design contractor with the Stacks Foundation, you will primarily focus on creating engaging and intuitive content-based experiences across our channels, while also bringing the Stacks brand to life through captivating illustrations inline with brand guidelines.

With the upcoming Nakamoto launch, Stacks is poised to enter a new era of brand recognition and growth as the leading Bitcoin L2.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver numerous graphics for Stacks channels (events, blog posts, social media, merch) on a weekly basis - often with a quick turnaround. These include covers for YouTube videos, graphics for Twitter threads, blog post header images, and event banners.
- Produce regular diagrams to strengthen the quality of our docs and long-form content
- Extend the refreshed brand and shepherd the solidification of the brand across key channels
- Produce quarterly illustration drops that the Stacks community can leverage easily for various projects
- Provide creative guidance for and development of assets focused on driving awareness, education, and reach
- Support the production of landing pages for special events, campaigns, contests, NFT giveaways, and other efforts the Stacks Foundation runs
- Ensure the visual brand identity and produced assets support and reinforce key narratives and concepts
Experience & Skills:
- Skilled graphic designer with the ability to work in multiple styles, including having the ability to conceive and produce original illustrations
- Skilled at basic data visualization
- Strong UX background (formal training not required), and/or extensive experience supporting a website team with design assets and direction
- A good listener, can take feedback, rapidly iterate, and are proficient in English
- Bonus: Motion graphic skills, 3D design skills
Schedule and Compensation:
- This is a part-time contract position with flexible hours, approximately 20-30 hours per week. This is a flexible, remote position, but we are seeking a designer who can be available for requests from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Eastern time, Monday-Friday.
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience and skills.
