Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the creation and evolution of design principles, guidelines and patterns.
  • Establish, evolve and evangelize design strategy across the company.
  • Communicate best practices for design and reasoning behind UX decisions to key stakeholders.
  • Guide, mentor, and educate team members and stakeholders on ethical, accessible, and innovative approaches to implementing dynamic features powered by Artificial Intelligence.
  • Provide design direction and feedback and educate on the implications of designing for omni channel experiences for different users, including superusers.
  • Work across teams to understand business and feature requirements, business goals, and company strategy goals.
  • Work with user researchers and stakeholders to understand user needs, requirements and business goals.
  • Collaborate with IT partner teams to understand the technical possibilities and constraints.
  • Work with Researchers and Designers to maintain consistency and solve cross-application design challenges.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by conducting/participating in usability testing and interpreting analytics data.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accountability, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to manage workload and achieve results.
  • Oversee and manage a team of Product Designers.
  • Collaborate with other team leads for evolving team process to better serve the team’s needs.
  • Build credibility with stakeholders, management peers, direct reports, and executives.
  • Provide feedback and direction to ensure intuitive and innovative solutions and drive consistency following established design principles, guidelines and patterns.
  • Educate the UX Team on the importance of following a User-centered Design process.
  • Effectively manage team to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and coaching.
  • Support team in creating training and career development plans.
  • Provide coaching and direction to the team that drives action and enables achievement of performance and operational goals.

Requirements

  • Degree in human-centered design, computer science, research, psychology, or related work experience
  • 6+ years of experience in user experience and user interface design
  • 3+ years of experience working on eCommerce app and web experiences
  • 4+ years of direct people management skills
  • Knowledge of design and research process and strategy
  • Previous experience in product, technology, or digital function highly preferred
  • Experience leading teams working with product or business teams from roadmapping through delivery
