Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the design system including components, patterns, documentation, accessibility standards, and governance processes.
- Lead design vision and execution for the MaxPreps product and influence vision across PlayOnβs brands.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact experiences.
- Lead creation of sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to validate ideas and guide product decisions.
- Provide comprehensive specs, interactive prototypes, and documentation for smooth handoff to development.
- Present and communicate work across teams and leadership, aligning stakeholders and championing user needs.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and brand teams to align design system and interfaces with visual identity and storytelling.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to shape requirements, develop user stories, and support iteration throughout product lifecycle.
- Be proactive and autonomous, translating strategy into flawless execution.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing digital web or mobile products.
- At least 2+ years of experience owning or influencing a design system at scale.
- Strong portfolio showcasing systematic UI/UX design understanding and business impact for consumer-focused companies.
- Proven experience translating data-rich content into impactful consumer experiences.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills to translate complex problems into elegant design concepts.
- Experience mentoring product designers and collaborating with creative marketing teams.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform design strategy, validate ideas, and iterate user experiences.
- Keen eye for visual detail, interaction design, usability, accessibility, and design consistency.
- Experience driving iterative design with product and engineering teams, discovering solutions exceeding user and business goals.
