Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the design system including components, patterns, documentation, accessibility standards, and governance processes.
• Lead design vision and execution for the MaxPreps product and influence vision across PlayOn’s brands.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact experiences.
• Lead creation of sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to validate ideas and guide product decisions.
• Provide comprehensive specs, interactive prototypes, and documentation for smooth handoff to development.
• Present and communicate work across teams and leadership, aligning stakeholders and championing user needs.
• Collaborate closely with marketing and brand teams to align design system and interfaces with visual identity and storytelling.
• Collaborate within Agile teams to shape requirements, develop user stories, and support iteration throughout product lifecycle.
• Be proactive and autonomous, translating strategy into flawless execution.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience designing digital web or mobile products.
• At least 2+ years of experience owning or influencing a design system at scale.
• Strong portfolio showcasing systematic UI/UX design understanding and business impact for consumer-focused companies.
• Proven experience translating data-rich content into impactful consumer experiences.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills to translate complex problems into elegant design concepts.
• Experience mentoring product designers and collaborating with creative marketing teams.
• Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform design strategy, validate ideas, and iterate user experiences.
• Keen eye for visual detail, interaction design, usability, accessibility, and design consistency.
• Experience driving iterative design with product and engineering teams, discovering solutions exceeding user and business goals.
