Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the Ro Design System with human-centered principles ensuring scalability and trust across products.
  • Design, test, document, and advocate for global UI components, UX patterns, and usage guidelines to raise quality and consistency.
  • Lead end-to-end design on complex initiatives from research and strategy through UX flows, interactions, visuals, and release.
  • Develop a deep understanding of patients and healthcare professionals to translate insights into evidence-based experiences.
  • Balance business goals, product requirements, and patient needs to deliver impactful, high-quality design.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams to shape strategy, scope work, and run learning-driven experiments.
  • Inspire and influence teams and leadership with clear design rationale and vision storytelling.
  • Coach and mentor designers to elevate craft and collaboration across the team.
  • Balance systems thinking with pragmatic execution, maintaining design integrity within constraints.
  • Champion a patient-centric mindset, advocating for user needs visually and verbally.
  • Contribute to a culture of feedback, innovation, collaboration, and no-ego teamwork.

Requirements

  • 8+ years designing and shipping high-impact digital products across web and mobile.
  • Expertise in UX, UI, interaction design, systems thinking, and design system stewardship.
  • Strong product thinker partnering deeply with Product Managers to define and drive strategy.
  • Collaborative team player with no ego, receptive to feedback to elevate work direction.
  • Deep care for design quality, attentive to detail and quality advocacy.
  • Experience working in rapid-release environments with product, engineering, data, and research partners.
  • Proven ability to solve ambiguous, complex problems with elegant, user-centered solutions.
  • Strong communicator able to influence peers and senior leadership.
  • Portfolio demonstrating design system contributions, complex product design, and impact evidence.
  • Growth mindset focused on curiosity, skill-building, and evolving craft.
  • Curiosity about AI's role in transforming design and user experience with motivation to explore emerging capabilities.

Work Mode and Location

  • Hybrid work mode based in New York, NY or Remote within the United States.

Work Time

  • Full-time position.
