Job Description
The Part-Time/Intern Product Designer is a role that is responsible for supporting the design efforts for digital products and interfaces. This role centers on creating prototypes and involves learning design principles and gaining practical experience in creating user-centered designs.
Major Responsibilities:
- Use design software to create simple prototypes and high fidelity wireframes
- Explore different ways to solve design problems, identifying pros & cons and implications of each potential solution
- Work closely with product managers and engineers to understand and work around constraints
- Communicate design decisions and rationale
- Assist in design-related ideation of project and business goals with teammates and stakeholders
- Help in creation of user experience artifacts such as information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes
- Provide input on art and design projects from concept through production and final delivery
Skills/Abilities:
- Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite or Figma
- Familiarity with UI/UX design
- Education or experience in principles of visual and/or product design
- Adept managing multiple creative projects at one time
Education and Experience:
- Currently studying graphic design or a related field
- Associateโs or Bachelorโs degree in design or a related field or 6 months+ of visual design experience
