Qualifications
- 10+ years of product design experience, mainly in desktop SaaS.
- Ability to break down large ambiguous projects into actionable tasks.
- Experience with high-functioning design teams and creating high-performance environments.
- Capable of influencing engineering, product, and company through designers' strengths.
- Experience creating design standards and principles to improve product design quality.
- Strong intuition for usability without relying solely on data or user research.
- Resourcefulness in creating and de-risking creative solutions.
- Excellent skills in layout, navigation, information architecture, UI, and interaction design.
- Experience at early-stage startups or as a solo designer.

Weekly Responsibilities
- Consult engineers on layout, typography, flows.
- Investigate problems through GTM, customers, and data to support design proposals.
- Create visual artifacts using Figma for stakeholder alignment.
- Write specification documents to detail and get alignment on design decisions.
- Own major product features covering jobs-to-be-done, navigation, IA, layout, interaction.
- Use heuristics and customer feedback to build usability backlog and propose engineering projects.
- Consolidate and refine the design system to be functional and best-in-class.
Interview Process
- 30-minute introduction call.
- 45-minute portfolio review.
- 135-minute live design exercise, portfolio deep dive, CEO meet.
- 90-minute team meeting and app teardown.
