Responsibilities
- Advocate for users by deeply understanding their needs and pushing for experiences that solve real customer problems
- Own the user experience end to end, from problem definition to final delivery and iteration
- Plan and run UX research, including user interviews, usability testing, and prototype validation
- Translate research insights into clear, actionable design decisions
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering Managers to define problems, align on goals, and prioritize work
- Produce high-fidelity, pixel-perfect UI designs for new features and product improvements
- Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of Zone, Hubstaffβs design system
- Ensure design solutions are feasible, clearly communicated, and well-executed through implementation
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally in B2B SaaS or startup environments
- Strong generalist background across UX, UI, research, and delivery
- Proven experience planning and executing user research and translating findings into product improvements
- Advanced Figma skills, including working with and contributing to design systems
- Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers
- Ability to manage multiple design initiatives and move work forward independently
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a fully remote environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Fluent English communication (minimum C1 level) β youβll work closely with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders, participate in live discussions, and conduct user interviews in English

- Experience working across multiple product squads
- Previous exposure to growth-stage SaaS products
- Familiarity with remote-first team workflows
Location & Work Setup
- Fully remote
- Time zone overlap required with Americas / Europe (until ~3pm EDT)
- Full-time contract role
- Initial 7-month contract, with potential extension
