Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, strategic direction, and drive design quality for a team of Product Designers
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to build products addressing real customer needs
- Serve as a thought leader and partner internally and externally, championing design for strategic growth
- Transform ambiguity into clarity using expertise and design processes to establish structure
- Inspire innovation, exploration, and a high-performance mindset while fostering continuous learning and urgency
- Think strategically for broader customer experience and dive into detailed execution
- Gain alignment by sharing work with stakeholders and executive leaders
- Collaborate across departments to ensure design aligns with holistic user experience
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Product Design with 5+ years in leadership including hiring and developing talent
- Experience leading high-velocity design teams impacting customers and business
- Extensive experience leading consumer-facing product design teams for native iOS and Android apps
- Ability to balance small design iterations with larger experience changes
- Strong bias-to-action to address challenges, build and test products, and learn from outcomes
- Analytical approach integrating qualitative and quantitative insights
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
