The Role
- Drive the end-to-end design architecture for the Next-Gen Administrator platform.
- Approach a suite of products as a system, working cross-functionally to meet business objectives and create competitive advantage.
- Increase engagement and usability of current school and district administrator platform.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and product management on long-term vision for the Next-Gen Admin platform.
- Support end-to-end information architecture across multi-product ecosystem.
What You'll Do
- Leverage product design and systems thinking skills to advocate for a clear Design POV for platform enhancements.
- Create end-to-end design artifacts including journey maps, system maps, wireframes, flows, mockups, and prototypes.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Content, and Partnerships to iterate and design new experiences.
- Plan and facilitate light research sessions in collaboration with Senior Design Manager and UXR specialists.
- Drive design side of projects through strong project management, fast execution on iterations, and clear communication of rationale.
- Maintain and propose changes to the design systems ensuring internal consistency and usability.
- Build alignment across diverse teams by presenting ideas effectively to varied stakeholders.
- Cultivate a growth mindset, solicit feedback, and partner with Brand and Visual Design.
- Mentor, coach, and develop Design teammates and cross-functional partners.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of relevant experience on in-house product design teams.
- Outstanding skills in information architecture, ecosystem design, interaction design, prototyping, and visual design.
- Ability to manage ambiguous broad problems and smaller projects.
- Active participant in design reviews, providing and soliciting feedback.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical partners.
- Comfortable in ambiguous, dynamic environments similar to startups.
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and gather stakeholder buy-in.
- Lean approach to product design focusing on fast learning and shipping concise valuable experiences.

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salaries with ranges from $152,908 - $160,553 USD (US-based) and $206,626 - $216,958 CAD (Canada-based).
