Job Description
Own design for key product areas (typical: onboarding, home, lesson flows, AI coaching surfaces, paywall/subscription, retention loops). Turn fuzzy problems into shippable solutions: user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, final UI, specs. Partner daily with PM + Engineering (India-based) to define scope, constraints, and tradeoffs. Run lightweight discovery and validation (Maze tests, usability tests, surveys, funnel review) and iterate based on evidence. Maintain and extend the design system (components, patterns, accessibility, states). Ensure clean handoff: redlines/specs, edge cases, QA, post-launch check-ins. Communicate clearly in async: Looms, concise docs, decisions + rationale.Requirements
- 3β7 years product design experience (consumer mobile strongly preferred).
- Strong interaction design + visual polish (you can design production-ready UI).
- Solid product thinking: metrics, tradeoffs, experimentation mindset.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and speed; you donβt need perfect inputs to start.
- Strong Figma skills (components, auto-layout, variants, prototyping).
- Excellent written communication and async collaboration habits.
- Experience working cross-timezone and with engineers.
- Nice to have: Experience in edtech, language learning, subscriptions, or growth loops.
- Nice to have: Experience with AI-powered features (coaching, personalization, generation).
- Nice to have: Motion/micro-interactions, accessibility, and design systems depth.
Benefits
- Flexible work setup: Remote and hybrid work arrangements available.
- Comprehensive employee well-being benefits.
- Free ELSA Premium courses to polish your language skills.
- Collaborative, international team culture.
- Opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, well-funded Silicon Valley startup with global impact.
