Job Description
As a Founding Design Engineer, you'll be instrumental in crafting the user experience that will drive the adoption and success of our decentralized compute platform. Great design is mission critical to what we do. If you donโt see design as just aesthetics, but are obsessed with creating a product that truly has taste, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement intuitive, visually stunning, and responsive user interfaces for our decentralized compute platform using Figma and React.
- Bridge the gap between design and development by translating design mockups and prototypes into reusable, efficient, and scalable React + Tailwind components.
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure design consistency, technical feasibility, and optimal performance across the platform.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our Figma design system, with a focus on creating modular, flexible, and accessible UI components.
- Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to deeply understand our users needs for scalable compute to continuously iterate on the product experience.
Requirements
- Strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in both UI/UX design and React development, with a track record of delivering high-quality, user-centered platforms.
- Proficiency in Figma, with experience creating and managing design systems, interactive prototypes, and user flows.
- Mastery of React, with deep knowledge of its ecosystem, best practices, and performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility best practices, with a commitment to creating inclusive and performant user interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance design aesthetics, user needs, and technical constraints to deliver optimal solutions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile startup environment.
