The Role

We're looking for a Product Designer to join our design team. In this role, you'll own the design process end-to-end, from discovery and UX flows to polished, production-ready solutions, on features that directly impact the mental health journeys of our members. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, content strategists, and our clinical team to ship experiences that are both meaningful and well-executed.
This is a mid-level role ideal for someone with a strong foundation in interaction design who's ready to take on more ownership and grow alongside a thoughtful, mission-driven team.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full design process for features, from problem framing and discovery wireframes, research, visual design, prototyping, and handoff
  • Partner closely with product managers to deeply understand problems, shape requirements, and co-develop solutions
  • Design user-centered, accessible experiences grounded in member needs and informed by research, data, and clinical context
  • Create clear, detailed design specs and flows that address edge cases, error states, and diverse user paths
  • Work directly with engineers to ensure design intent is implemented accurately and collaborate throughout the build
  • Contribute to our design system to maintain consistency and quality across the product
  • Participate actively in design critiques, give and receive feedback, and help raise the bar for the team
  • Partner with and be mentored by senior designers on the team, bringing your perspective while learning from their experience on larger strategic projects
  • Engage with user research, conducting interviews with users, synthesizing insights and translating them into actionable design decisions
  • Balance user needs with business and clinical constraints, navigating trade-offs thoughtfully and communicating decisions clearly to cross-functional partners

Role Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in product or UX design, ideally at a health tech company
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong visual design skills and proficiency across the full product development lifecycle
  • Solid foundation in interaction design and strong visual design skills. You're comfortable designing for native mobile (iOS/Android) and web with an understanding of accessibility standards
  • Solid UX process and systems thinking. You approach problems with thoughtfulness and intentionality, always designing for usability and clarity first
  • Proficient at designing and making prototypes using Figma
  • Able to connect design work to product strategy and company priorities
  • Experience editing photos with Adobe Photoshop or a similar tool
  • Experience making vector-based illustrations, with the ability to work within and extend an existing illustration style, contribute to a shared library, and help shape the product's visual language

Who you are:

  • You’re a thoughtful collaborator who builds strong working relationships with engineers, product managers, and fellow designers, and proactively seeks feedback from each.
  • You care about improving mental health access and designing experiences that meet people where they are.
  • You are comfortable being scrappy and resourceful. You can move fast on a lean team without sacrificing quality.
  • You demonstrate genuine user empathy and care about inclusion and accessibility.
  • You bring a growth mindset: you know where you're strong, where you want to grow, and how to ask for help.
  • You’re curious about and open to exploring AI tools as part of your design practice, whether for ideation, prototyping, or improving your workflow.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with photography sourcing and an eye for imagery that feels human, inclusive, and on-brand
  • Experience in digital content design, editorial platforms, or content-forward products
  • Experience working in health tech or other regulated/sensitive product spaces
