Job Description
As our UX/UI Designer, youโll become our very first 'experience architect' - the nickname we made up for the designer that creates, refines, implements, and optimizes the user interfaces for our product. We expect you to freely share insights and experiences with the software team, for example by proposing innovative design solutions to issues, and by acting as their sounding board and challenger. Theyโll do the same for you! Together with our software team, you dive headfirst into user research and design. Understanding user behaviors and preferences, so we can gain new insights into how to create intuitive and engaging interfaces that minimize food waste. Additionally, we invite you to use your expertise to improve our usability, reduce complexity and make the overall experience more intuitive. We want Orbisk to become a well-known name in the global hospitality business, and we believe you can help us achieve that goal.
Our Product: The Orbisk Dashboard
Our product is a data-rich dashboard that shows all the waste registered by one or multiple of our Orbiโs. We can slice and dice this data in many different ways. As you can imagine, one Orbi registering waste is quite straightforward, but as we grow we now face the challenge of customers with increasingly complex environments, like waste from more than 200 different Orbis in different locations, time-zones, currencies and other (cultural) differences. The main challenge is to make the dashboard so intuitive that our end-user, whether itโs a chef or somebody working at the HQ of a global hotel chain, can easily spot the main ways they can reduce their food waste. Do you feel like you are ready to bite down into this great international design challenge?
