We founded the company as a fully-remote team (pre Covid!) and are open to applicants that live within a 5 hour time zone difference of US Pacific Time.

Responsibilities:

• Design Excellence: Spend the vast majority of time on core product design work using Figma, ensuring high-quality visuals and user experiences are consistently delivered.
• Collaborative Development: Occasionally run UX research with customers, presenting prototypes to gather actionable feedback, and contribute to the improvement and development of new features.
• Strategic Contributions: Within the first 90 days, get up to speed with Monarch’s design style, take ownership of new design product projects, and run UX research projects when necessary.

Technologies:

• Primary Tool: Extensive use of Figma for designing and prototyping.
• Supportive Knowledge: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and React is appreciated but not mandatory.

Requirements:

• Professional Experience: Strong background in product design within a consumer-focused company, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
• Design Skills: Exceptional visual design skills with a keen attention to detail, combined with a product/systems thinking approach.
• Collaborative Skills: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including direct collaboration with founders and the product engineering team.

Nice to Have:

• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and React, to support design implementation.
• Innovative Thinking: Experience with 0 to 1 projects and consumer mobile app design, showcasing the ability to think holistically about product challenges.
