Your mission at Origin will be to carry out an end-to-end design process based on user insights and a comprehensive range of studies, considering benchmarking, world-class design standards, and usability criteria. You will iterate on ideas with multiple teams and stakeholders and develop a polished final version that ensures a high-quality standard for the user experience and interface.

Responsibilities

• You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketing people.
• You’ll translate research insights into design solutions.
• You’ll create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to iterate design concepts.
• You’ll develop high-definition visual designs that align with the brand and improve user interaction.
• You’ll ensure and advocate for a seamless and intuitive UX.
• You'll prepare files for handoff and collaborate with developers to ensure your design implementation matches the intended UX.
• You’ll plan and conduct usability testing to validate your design decisions, gathering feedback and making refinements based on testing results.
• You’ll communicate your design decisions and rationale effectively to both design and non-design stakeholders, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and users into your designs.
• You’ll create and update design documentation, such as design specifications and style guides.
• You’ll contribute to project planning sessions and help define design milestones.
• You’ll communicate regularly with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• You’ll solve design challenges and address issues that arise during the design and development process.

MUST-HAVE

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Design, Communication or Computer Science;
• At least 5+ years as a Product Designer with digital products;
• Previous experience in fintech or products for financial institutions;
• Evidence of strategic product thinking with the ability to develop product goals and make decisions based on the impact on people and the company;
• Ability to showcase your design process that includes interaction and visual design artifacts, various iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes;
• Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines;
• Fluent or native English skills;
• Effective in a remote setting and able to overlap with our core hours of 9 AM to 2 PM PST.
