About the position
We are looking for a talented CAD Design Engineer. In this position, you will be focusing on designing the mechanical structures of never-before-seen high-end lamp designs such as our FLYING drone lamp. You won't be responsible for the exterior aesthetics; instead, your expertise will be pivotal in developing the internal structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical structures for never-before-seen high-end lamp designs such as our flying drone lamp
- Collaborate with our design team to ensure seamless integration of internal and external components
- The ideal candidate can create high-fidelity prototypes of new designs by using our NEXA Xip Pro 3D printer and clever outside-the-box thinking to simulate the look and feel of the final product
Requirements:
- Business-level proficiency in English.
- Proven experience with metal manufacturing methods such as multi-axis CNC milling or casting
- Excellent understanding of mechanical properties of materials under various circumstances, stresses, etc.
- Strong aesthetic sense
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 3D printing and high-fidelity prototype building
- Experience with plastic molding and other plastic based mass-production methods
- Background in overseeing mass production of consumer electronics, appliances, or other mechanical products
