Places allows people to discover the best places in the world through curated discovery in our iOS app. Places is seeking a talented Product Designer specializing in design systems, brand guidelines and user experience. In this role, you'll work closely with our lead designer to create thoughtful user experiences and maintain a robust design library that ensures consistency and efficiency across our app.
Key Responsibilities: Design System & Brand Identity Management
- Create reusable UI components and patterns that align with our brand identity and user experience goals
- Maintain and update the company's design system components, ensuring consistency across Places iOS appΒ
- Collaborate with lead designer and developers to ensure smooth implementation of design components
- Conduct regular audits of the design system to identify areas for improvement
- Stay abreast of industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the team
Key Responsibilities: UX/UI Support
- Collaborate with lead designer in creating user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes
- Contribute to product decisions through thoughtful design solutions with product managers and leadership teams
- Participate in ideation sessions and design critiques to enhance overall user experiences
- Help translate complex user needs into simple, intuitive interface designs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in product design or UX/UI design
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma
- Strong understanding of design systems and component-based design
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects and a deep understanding of design principles.Β
