We are looking for a Product Designer - Design Lead to take ownership of our visual and graphic design across various platforms.
In this role, you will
- Own visual and graphic design for our product and brand identity.
- Lead scoping and end-to-end design of new features for learners and tutors.
- Work closely with engineers to ship features from concept to production.
- Conduct user interviews with high-school students and volunteers.
- Maintain and enhance our growing design system.
- Audit our platform to improve design consistency and usability.
- Develop a longer-term product vision for Schoolhouse and execute on it.
You will need
- A strong design generalist background with a focus on visual design.
- 2+ years of design experience and fluency with tools like Figma.
- Experience as a solo product designer or significant ownership of design projects.
- Clear communication skills for collaboration and user experience crafting.
- A rapid execution mindset with an inclination towards experimentation.
- Experience in edtech or social impact is a plus.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies like HTML/CSS is nice to have.
