This is the role for you, if you're excited to work on the things listed below:

• Desk research: identify design patterns and opportunities
• Wireframes, Mockups, Prototypes
• User research & Usability tests
• Writing user stories, acceptance criteria
• Gather feedback and iterate

The skills you will need to be successful in the above:

• 5+ years professional experience
• Experience designing end-to-end flows for consumer-facing apps
• Portfolio demonstrating strong capabilities across User Research, Interaction Design & Visual Design
• Experience validating design concepts with users and translating user feedback into actionable insights
• Experience working with Figma Design Systems and within iOS Human Interface Guidelines
• Experience designing for desktop, tablet, phone

Ideal qualities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You are able to clearly rationalise the intent behind design decisions
• Strong self-starter who is able to self-organise and drive initiatives without a lot of support.
• Happy to collaborate with designers, stakeholders, engineers, and product managers.
• Comfortable in highly ambiguous problem spaces / new initiatives. They are able to help move the team forward
• A foundational understanding of AI terminology & design patterns (e.g. data bias, confusion matrix, explainability, graceful failure)
• Articulate real-life use cases to explain AI opportunities, risks, and barriers

Nice to have

• Degree in design, HCI or equivalent
• Experience working in educational or productivity apps
• Experience designing end-to-end flows for A.I. features
• If you have good foundational AI knowledge, and a good product design portfolio, then it’s not a must to have hand-on AI design experience
