What You’ll Do

• Lead Significant Projects: Own major design projects, ensuring they align with company objectives and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Mentor Junior Team Members: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, helping them develop their skills and grow within the team.
• Strategic Planning: Play a key role in strategic planning for design initiatives, driving projects that advance our current capabilities.
• Design Intuitive Interactions: Create engaging and intuitive UX/UI designs for our flagship product using Figma.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to deliver and ship new features, sharing knowledge and enhancing team collaboration.
• Present Designs: Present and rationalise designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and the leadership team.
• Data Driven Decisions and Research: Use available product data and perform qualitative/quantitative research to gain insights into our customers and make data informed decisions that positively impact the user experience.
• Promote Design Standards: Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
• Manage Projects: Independently manage projects, becoming a key contributor to the team and assuming responsibility for project delivery and outcomes.
• Influence Positive Change: Uphold ethical standards and create a supportive work environment to influence positive change within the team.

Skills We Like

• Experience with Product Design: Demonstrated experience in designing complex responsive web platforms and native mobile apps.
• Lean Design Methods: Ability to assess design challenges and apply the most effective framework to drive meaningful progress, while considering project constraints.
• Proficiency in Figma: Strong understanding and experience in working with Figma to deliver web/mobile applications.
• UX Skills: Ability to unpack the problem space, journey map and generate ideas, in a lean and rapid way. Move from low-fidelity to through to high-fidelity wireframing.
• UI Design Skills: A strong interest in UI design, with practical knowledge and experience in applying user-centric design principles.
• Design Systems: Experience in developing and maintaining design systems with practical knowledge of atomic design.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Engagement with Trends: Curious and highly engaged with the latest product design, mobile app trends, and technology.
• Continuous Learning: An innate drive for continuous learning and improvement.
• A No Ego Mentality: Ability to prioritise team collaboration, open feedback, and aligning to business goals, over personal pride or attachment to individual ideas.
