Who Weโ€™re Looking For

Weโ€™re looking for a Technical Product Manager (Platform) to drive the development and continuous improvement of Apronโ€™s platform. Youโ€™ll work at the intersection of engineering, product, and operations, ensuring our platform is stable, reliable, and scalable. You will play a key role in defining platform boundaries, facilitating cross-team collaboration, and optimising internal workflows. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong technical understanding and a problem-solving mindset. You will be the go-to person for fixing issues, enabling smooth platform operations, and ensuring clear alignment between engineering and product teams.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

  • Platform Ownership: Define and evolve the platform to ensure it remains stable, reliable, and scalable.
  • Technical Strategy: Work closely with engineers to drive architectural decisions that improve performance and resilience.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Establish clear boundaries between the platform and product teams to ensure transparency and efficiency.
  • Operational Excellence: Facilitate improvements that enhance platform reliability, working closely with engineering to resolve issues quickly.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, including customer support and compliance, to gather feedback and prioritise improvements.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage insights from engineering, support, and product teams to refine the platform and improve its usability.
  • Scaling the Platform: Ensure our technology stack supports business growth while maintaining best-in-class security and compliance standards.

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical product management role, ideally within a fintech or SaaS company.
  • Experience building and scaling platforms that support multiple internal and external products.
  • Strong technical understanding โ€” youโ€™re comfortable discussing architecture, APIs, and infrastructure with engineers.
  • Experience working in a Product Led environment, with a solid grasp of product team structures and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SQL, large datasets, and analytics tools to support decision-making.
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure smooth platform operations across teams.
  • Strong communication skills to translate technical details into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Background in SaaS platform development and cloud-based architectures.
  • Understanding of AI-driven data analysis for optimising platform performance.
  • Experience working with customer support teams to improve platform reliability and efficiency.
