Responsibilities
- Help design and build a centralized research repository
- Organize past studies, insights, and artifacts into a searchable structure
- Develop tagging systems and taxonomy of frameworks
- Improve discoverability and reusability of research knowledge
- Create and standardize research templates
- Build reusable templates for surveys, usability testing, interview guides, and reporting structures
- Document research workflows and best practices
- Collaborate with mentors and teammates to break down ambiguous problems into clear, scoped projects during the internship
- Work across the stack depending on team needs and interests, with guidance from mentor and manager
- Instrument and monitor work in production using metrics and logs to understand impact and reliability, assisting in debugging
- Contribute to team culture, documentation, and best practices for future interns and engineers
Requirements
- Interest in UX research
- Currently pursuing a Bachelorβs, Masterβs, or equivalent degree in Social Sciences, Computer Science, Design, or related technical field, with graduation after internship
- Experience through projects, internships, hackathons, or open-source contributions where user research influenced decision-making
- Strong problem-solving and synthesis skills to break down ambiguous problems and collaborate effectively
- Clear and kind communication skills for cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Excited to learn about contracts, legal workflows, and AI-powered productivity tools even without prior domain experience
- Embody values of drive, intent, integrity, and empathy in work and collaboration
Internship Details
- Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Duration: ~12 weeks (summer) with flexibility based on academic calendar
- Location: San Francisco or New York, depending on team needs and candidate location
- Hybrid role; office attendance required at least twice a week
- Mentorship with regular 1:1s and access to intern programming, tech talks, and networking
