About the role

• The Prismatic platform puts an enormous amount of power in the hands of less-technical users, providing them a cohesive system for developing, testing, deploying, and monitoring integrations.
• The system is hosted in AWS, automated with Terraform and GitLab CI, with TypeScript used heavily across backend services.
• Build new internal and public-facing services, improve performance and observability, and scale the platform to support growth.
• Participate in technical decision-making, planning, and mentorship within a fully remote team.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, security, and support teams.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, production-ready code for the core Infrastructure and related product parts.
• Lead projects from conception to production deployment.
• Support a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate as a member of a full-stack product development team.
• Create strong developer experiences through dashboards, documentation, APIs, and SDKs.
• Discover and advocate for new techniques to improve reliability and scalability.
• Participate in the Platform On-Call rotation.
• Provide feedback in code, design, and security reviews.
• Coach and mentor less experienced teammates.
• Work as part of a highly collaborative, fully remote team shipping code daily.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with technical leadership and architectural contributions.
• Experience implementing AWS-based Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure-As-Code (Terraform, Docker).
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience with FaaS environments like AWS Lambda.
• Expertise in building and evolving large-scale distributed production systems.
• Experience handling complex CI/CD scenarios.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and engineering best practices advocacy.
• Experience or opinions on AI coding agents to accelerate work.

Bonus points

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, GraphQL, GitLab CI/CD.
• A GitHub or similar portfolio to showcase.
