About the Role

• Design, automate, and scale the systems that power Built’s internal operations.
• Build integrations between SaaS platforms and strengthen identity and device management.
• High-impact engineering role focused on modern IT practices within a fast-growing SaaS environment.

What You’ll Do

• Engineer Smarter Systems:

• Design and build automations using Okta Workflows, Atlassian Automation, and API integrations.
• Connect identity, HR, procurement, and collaboration systems to reduce manual work.
• Create resilient, auditable, and scalable workflows.
• Identify new automation opportunities continuously.

• Own and Evolve Core IT Infrastructure:

• Manage identity, SaaS, endpoint, and networking challenges.
• Administer Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Jira, Intune, Kandji.
• Partner to evolve Okta infrastructure and SCIM coverage.
• Improve zero-touch deployment, compliance, and remote access.
• Evaluate and implement new SaaS platforms.

• Collaborate Across the Organization:

• Work with Security, Finance, HR, Compliance for secure IT practices.
• Partner with Procurement and vendors for renewals and licensing.
• Refine onboarding/offboarding and access lifecycle processes.
• Contribute to documentation and IT service improvements.

• Lead Projects and Drive Impact:

• Own infrastructure projects from concept to deployment.
• Bring scalability, automation, and structure to systems.
• Mentor IT Support and raise technical standards.
• Define and build world-class IT excellence.

What You Bring

• 3+ years experience in IT Engineering, Systems Admin, or Infrastructure roles in cloud-first environments.
• Expertise with Okta, Okta Workflows, SaaS lifecycle automation.
• Strong knowledge of SSO, SCIM, provisioning/deprovisioning processes.
• Experience managing macOS (Kandji) and Windows (Intune) environments.
• Familiarity with VPNs, DNS, Wi-Fi, tools like Twingate or Meraki.
• Experience with Jira Service Management, Atlassian Automation, Confluence.
• Bonus: scripting/coding (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and API automation.
