Responsibilities

• Partner deeply with Product Managers and Designers to shape the roadmap, translating customer needs into polished, end-to-end features.
• Design and integrate scalable systems with payment providers and BaaS platforms, ensuring underlying complexity is invisible to users.
• Develop core financial logic ensuring every transaction is secure, lightning-fast, and intuitively handled.
• Proactively suggest improvements to the user journey and drive innovation across the stack.
• Mentor peers and advocate for engineering best practices prioritizing system health and rapid product iteration.

Requirements

• Solid experience as a backend-leaning Fullstack engineer.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams shaping user-facing products/features.
• Experience in a product-led, fast-paced environment (startup or tech company).
• Proficiency or willingness to work with Kotlin, Typescript/React stack.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Keen attention to code quality, efficient architecture, and performance optimization.
• Preferred: proficiency in JVM-based languages, particularly Kotlin for server-side development.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Preferred: experience with advanced Postgres features like GIST indexes, partitioning, and replication.

Work Environment

• Hybrid setting with 3 days a week in London (Liverpool Street) office.
