Responsibilities
- Partner deeply with Product Managers and Designers to shape the roadmap, translating customer needs into polished, end-to-end features.
- Design and integrate scalable systems with payment providers and BaaS platforms, ensuring underlying complexity is invisible to users.
- Develop core financial logic ensuring every transaction is secure, lightning-fast, and intuitively handled.
- Proactively suggest improvements to the user journey and drive innovation across the stack.
- Mentor peers and advocate for engineering best practices prioritizing system health and rapid product iteration.
Requirements
- Solid experience as a backend-leaning Fullstack engineer.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams shaping user-facing products/features.
- Experience in a product-led, fast-paced environment (startup or tech company).
- Proficiency or willingness to work with Kotlin, Typescript/React stack.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Keen attention to code quality, efficient architecture, and performance optimization.
- Preferred: proficiency in JVM-based languages, particularly Kotlin for server-side development.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Preferred: experience with advanced Postgres features like GIST indexes, partitioning, and replication.
Work Environment
- Hybrid setting with 3 days a week in London (Liverpool Street) office.
