Overview
As the Competitive Analysis Product Marketing Manager II, you will play a critical role in ensuring AvidXchange builds, positions, and delivers products that reflect real market conditions and customer needs. This role exists to bring clarity to complex inputs such as competitive dynamics, customer feedback, and market signals, and translate them into insights that inform product decisions, strengthen go‑to‑market execution, and enable sales teams to confidently position AvidXchange against competitors in active opportunities.By grounding day‑to‑day decision making in competitive intelligence and voice‑of‑the‑customer insights, the PMM II helps teams clearly understand how AvidXchange compares in the market, where it wins head‑to‑head, where it must differentiate, and how to communicate that advantage consistently when engaging prospects and customers.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct ongoing research on competitors, market trends, and industry developments, and develop and maintain competitive materials including battlecards, market overviews, and internal reference documentation.
- Partner with Sales, Business Development, Sales Enablement, and customer‑facing teams to provide competitive and customer‑driven guidance, including support for training and knowledge‑sharing initiatives related to competitive positioning and customer value.
- Share market, competitive, and voice‑of‑the‑customer insights with stakeholders through written summaries, presentations, and regular updates.
- Ensure competitive and voice‑of‑the‑customer insights are integrated into go‑to‑market planning and execution through collaboration with Product Marketing peers on positioning, messaging, and launch activities.
- Serve as a point of contact for competitive and voice‑of‑the‑customer questions.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, preferably within Fintech, SaaS, or a high‑growth technology environment; experience with financial software or AP/AR automation is a plus, as is prior experience in a sales, solutions consulting, or sales enablement role.
- Experience working with Sales and Product teams in a B2B environment.
- Strong ability to communicate complex information clearly in written and verbal formats to diverse B2B audiences.
- Experience with Salesforce, PowerBI, and competitive management platforms such as Klue.
- Self-starter with proven ability to independently plan, lead, and manage multiple priorities.
