Description

We’re looking for a self-starting Product Marketing Manager to explore, define, and launch new commercial opportunities across multiple emerging products and formats at Future.

These opportunities may begin as early ideas rather than fully formed products. You’ll assess which are worth pursuing, define what customers need, and work out what Future must build or coordinate to deliver them. You’ll manage several opportunities at different stages, moving each from discovery and internal scoping through validation, launch, and growth.

You’ll be the person who brings the right teams together and keeps work moving across a varied portfolio. This role needs strong judgment, curiosity, organization, and the ability to create structure when the path is unclear.

What You’ll Do

You will report to the Director of Product Marketing.

  • Manage a Portfolio of Opportunities: Keep multiple products and initiatives moving at once, with clear priorities, owners, milestones, and next steps.
  • Find and Prioritize Opportunities: Research customers, the market, competitors, and Future’s capabilities to assess potential value, revenue, strategic fit, and delivery complexity.
  • Scope the Offer: Define the target customer, use case, value proposition, product requirements, commercial model, and launch needs for each selected opportunity.
  • Coordinate the Work: Bring together Product, Editorial, Sales, Operations, Marketing, and external partners to resolve open questions and move concepts forward.
  • Validate Demand: Work with customers and Sales to test concepts, propositions, pricing, packaging, and willingness to buy.
  • Run Pilots: Define goals, success measures, feedback loops, and decision gates; use results to recommend what to scale, refine, or stop.
  • Develop Go-to-Market Plans: Create positioning, messaging, and sales materials, then partner with Marketing to plan and deliver external launches that build awareness, generate demand, and drive adoption.
  • Build Repeatable Growth: Identify what can be standardized, packaged, or expanded across customers and markets.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, commercial strategy, growth, media, publishing, or a related discipline.
  • Experience taking an early-stage product, format, or commercial opportunity from discovery through testing or launch.
  • Strong customer research and commercial judgment, including the ability to evaluate opportunities with incomplete information.
  • Experience scoping work across multiple teams and keeping decisions, owners, and next steps clear.
  • Strong project leadership: able to build momentum without direct authority or a fully defined process.
  • Ability to balance customer value, revenue potential, operational feasibility, and strategic fit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make complex or emerging offers easy to understand.
  • Highly autonomous, organized, and comfortable moving between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Experience with video, newsletters, ecommerce, creator-led products, or digital publishing is a plus.

What We Offer

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401k plus a company match
  • Uncapped leave
  • When we hit our targets, enjoy a share of our profits with a bonus
  • Refer a friend and get rewarded when they join Future
  • Well-being support with access to our Colleague Assistant Programs
  • Opportunity to purchase shares in Future with our Share Incentive Plan

The expected range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000. This is a hybrid role, working 2 days from the New York office.
