Responsibilities

• Be a servant leader and a beacon for agile best practices.
• Primary owner of the product backlog for 1-2 teams.
• Primary contributor in the creation of the enterprise roadmap in collaboration with other product owners and development/engineering teams.
• Ownership in refinement of stories and acceptance criteria for 1-2 teams.
• Prioritize needs of the backlog at the enterprise level monthly, quarterly, yearly.
• Effectively create a product/project and take it from discovery phase to release.
• Accurately assess product opportunities and risks to decide on product development path.
• Obtain primary buy-in from stakeholders on major decisions and strategy.
• Provide clear instructions and deliverables for engineers.
• Define, refine, and report key performance indicators for software teams to clarify productivity and technical health.
• Lead 1+ teams as the lead product owner.
• Primary PO role in all agile ceremonies and organize workshops with product users and agile teams.
• Introduce new and useful tools and practices; be Jira proficient.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience leading platform engineers through successful product deliveries in an Agile environment.
• Certifications (nice to have): Certified Scrum Professional - Product Owner; Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
• Proven skills in measuring software engineering key performance indicators.
• Experience with global engineering teams, especially co-located in India and North America and/or Europe.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with internal organizations, executives, and business customer groups.
• Elevated level of personal initiative, integrity, and leadership.
• Ability to serve as technical leader of a distributed, collaborative, and skilled Cloud Ops engineers.
• Experience training engineers in SDLC is a plus.
