About the Role
- Join Kin's Growth team to simplify and scale insurance product workflows and processes.
- Design tools to empower teams with speed and precision, minimizing engineering dependencies.
- Work cross-functionally to reduce bottlenecks and enable faster product launches while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Own and improve the document platform, delivering a self-service solution for legal, compliance, and operations teams.
- Ship quickly, iterate based on feedback, and maintain regulatory precision.
- Manage timely delivery of forms and filings for product launches and updates.
- Triage and prioritize requests to protect engineering capacity for improvements.
- Identify and automate complex workflows across underwriting, compliance, and product development.
- Build tools and processes to scale new lines of business and manage existing products.
- Partner with engineering to size, plan, and execute projects.
- Write clear user stories connecting tactical work to strategic goals.
- Use data and insights to identify problems, measure impact, and refine solutions.
- Facilitate cross-functional decisions and balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years product management experience, shipping products from 0 to 1 in startup or rapid-growth environments.
- Experience in regulated industries, ideally insurance, requiring precision.
- Detail-oriented with strategic thinking and documented strategic outputs.
- Platform and tooling experience building internal tools.
- MVP mindset with iterative delivery and data-driven decision making including BI tools and SQL proficiency.
- Strong prioritization, cross-functional partnership, and agile product development skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management abilities.
Nice-to-Haves
- Systems thinking and platform architecture mindset.
- Technical fluency with PDF generation, template systems, APIs.
- Experience leveraging AI for prototyping and productivity.
- Design tools or wireframing skills.
- Experience with business rules engines or workflow automation.
