Responsibilities
- Own the Tax/Product & Engineering relationship on an end-to-end basis, serving as the Tax point of contact for all aspects of the product life cycle: design reviews, launch and operational readiness.
- Ensure tax reporting requirements arising from the operation of Anchorage products/services are met.
- Monitor regulatory developments and provide critical information to product build teams.
- Partner closely with regulatory, legal, and finance teams.
- Build and scale partnerships with Product / Engineering teams, ensuring integration of tax requirements into product design, operations and business processes.
- Develop efficient processes to allow for regulatory changes.
- Develop trust and effective collaboration with stakeholder groups and key Finance functions to support product and business initiatives.
- Efficiently manage tax contributions across multiple initiatives and product launches, identifying pain points and designing practical solutions.
- Develop and manage information flow between Product and Tax Operations.
- Maintain close connections with business and product teams to proactively address tax-related issues, customer feedback, and tax efficient solutions.
- Partner with finance team members to identify automation and improvement opportunities, define business requirements and translate into technical and operational solutions aligned with tax and business objectives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of combined relevant experience in public-accounting, law firms, and US-based multinational corporations.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a Tax function supporting Product teams.
- Proven experience communicating complex tax and technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to confidently articulate clear advice in rapidly changing scenarios.
- Familiarity and experience with US information reporting requirements, compliance cycles, and managing 3rd party service providers in crypto or Fintech roles.
- Knowledge of indirect tax regimes in the US and abroad, experience with tax engines, and indirect tax software; experience with configuration and implementation is a plus.
- Enthusiasm about leveraging emerging technologies including AI and machine learning to enhance tax processes and data-driven decision-making.
