The product team at Ernest is responsible for visioning, building, and executing on the roadmap to create the foundational technology serving a diverse set of stakeholders โ construction project managers, skilled trade workers, general contractors, and property owners โ allowing Ernest to deliver a best in class build experience.
Weโre looking for a Sr. Product Manager to join the team to own and drive the portion of the product roadmap owning the construction management product line. This work-stream will be responsible for driving >$25M in construction projects by Q4 2024. Youโll be a part of building it from the ground up. Youโll be responsible for driving the roadmap with the founders and will report directly to the Chief Product Officer. Youโll also identify segments of the market with the highest area opportunity, conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and develop use cases.
What youโll do:
- Build and manage the product roadmap for construction project management
- Create high-quality, business context led product specifications that can distill problems to their essence while adequately accounting for edge cases
- Collaborate with product design, engineering, and internal and external stakeholders
- Ruthlessly prioritize our backlog to make sure we're always working on features that move the needle for our customers and the business
What youโll need:
- 4+ years of experience of product management experience, preferably 2+ year of start up experience
- Experience working with engineering and design to ship sophisticated products that also deliver a great user experience
- Experience building and iterating on products or feature areas from 0-to-1, preferably in B2B environments
- Sufficient technical skills to ask engineers good questions
- Strong written and oral communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Attention to detail and ability to quickly grasp complex business processes and industry knowledge
- Ability to prioritize ruthlessly and excellent at managing ambiguity. Masterful ability to break down big, messy problems (demanding requirements, bugs, etc) into smaller parts with tractable solutions and clear iterations.
