Responsibilities
- Drive the Roadmap: Transform high-level product strategy into a roadmap that expands Custom Block’s capabilities—empowering creators to build visually rich, interactive, and custom-designed learning content.
- Prioritize features that move us beyond static layouts toward true design freedom and engagement.
- Lead Continuous Discovery: Champion ongoing discovery and use insights from qualitative research, usage data, and competitive tools to uncover unmet needs and shape the future of interactive learning design in Rise.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with engineering, product design, and data teams to deliver intuitive, high-quality editing and interactivity tools.
- Work closely with customer-facing and go-to-market teams to ensure new Custom Block features drive adoption and creator delight and success.
- Own Outcomes and Storytelling: Define success metrics, track usage, engagement, and learning outcomes to measure impact.
- Communicate roadmap progress and product vision clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Enable True Customization & Interactivity: Design systems for simple, engaging interactivity—such as click-to-reveals, image overlays, and visual effects.
- Ensure creators can craft engaging, visually expressive learning moments with ease and confidence.
- Integrate Seamlessly Across Rise: Shape the visual editor experience and full range of outputs while ensuring Custom Block fits naturally within the Rise authoring experience.
- Collaborate with other product teams to maintain consistency, support content reusability, and deliver a unified course-building workflow.
- Shape AI-Augmented Design Workflows: Define how AI can enhance the creation process in Custom Block—helping users generate layouts, apply visual styling, or build content faster through smart, intuitive assistance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience, including ownership of creative tools, presentation platforms, or interactive authoring systems.
- Proven track record of building experiences that support visual storytelling and learner interactivity.
- Deep empathy for course creators and strong grasp of how other design tools are used in learning workflows today.
- Familiarity with component-based design systems, drag-and-drop interfaces, or no-code platforms.
- Fluency in continuous discovery practices and ability to distill insight into action.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with platforms like Figma, Canva, Genially, or Webflow.
- Background in learning design, EdTech, or instructional design.
- Understanding of accessibility and compliance for interactive content.
- Knowledge of how to support extensibility.
