Position Overview
- Lead the scaling and maturation of the SpryCIS product management organization.
- Manage three specialized teams totaling 11+ product professionals supporting SpryCIS.
- Design and implement operating systems, frameworks, and rituals for a high-performing product organization.
- Establish capacity planning rigor, clarify workload management, implement stakeholder engagement models.
- Build infrastructure for proactive product management and business visibility.
- Balance operational management (40%), systems building (40%), and hands-on product work (20%).
Organizational Structure
- Lead evolution from single-team to three specialized teams: two SpryCIS Product Teams and one Product Intake Team.
- Recruit team leads and facilitate team transitions maintaining momentum on commitments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Team Leads and Product Owners through coaching and performance management.
- Recruit and onboard additional team leads and Product Owners within 12 months.
- Manage capacity allocation and prioritization across commitments and initiatives.
- Ensure realistic forecasting and consistent delivery on client timelines.
- Build strategic relationships with Sales, Client Solutions, and Engineering.
- Monitor team velocity, identify bottlenecks, and address over-allocation risks.
- Collaborate on scalable capacity planning systems and frameworks.
- Establish visibility into workload, constraints, and team performance.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness and predictability.
- Implement tools and metrics for data-driven decision-making and resource allocation.
- Drive change management for new working methods.
- Develop deep knowledge of SpryCIS capabilities, architecture, and roadmap.
- Support Product Owners on complex challenges and client engagements.
- Mentor Product Owners and translate strategic decisions into executable product plans.
Qualifications and Competencies
- 5+ years in product management with hands-on experience and leadership responsibility.
- 3+ years managing Product Managers or Product Owners, including managers.
- Proven track record scaling product teams in high-growth B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
- Experience building product management processes and operating systems.
- Strong capacity planning and resource management skills.
- Enterprise B2B experience with sales cycles shaping the roadmap.
- Product expertise, systems thinking, operational rigor, and change management capabilities.
- Excellent coaching, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Highly Valued
- Experience in utilities industry or highly regulated B2B sectors.
- Knowledge of product management at scale and frameworks for large organizations.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools and capacity planning software.
- Experience managing product teams supporting multiple agile teams.
- Understanding of balancing platform development with client-specific needs.
