Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Act as the voice of the customer, deeply understanding customer needs and translating them into actionable product requirements.
  • Own and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features that align with business objectives and customer impact.
  • Define epics and detailed requirements for product enhancements.
  • Actively participate in the Agile development process, ensuring customer needs are clearly communicated and reflected in product development.
  • Guide the team through the development lifecycle, from concept to successful launch.
  • Develop business cases for new product features or sets of features, and work with leadership and cross-functional teams to gain alignment.
  • Run regularly scheduled business reviews for product features and monitor product KPIs to ensure success metrics are met, prioritizing enhancement opportunities.
  • Keep pace with industry changes and competitive intelligence to ensure product differentiation.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in an Agile Scrum team as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, data, and feedback from customers, sales, and support teams to translate strategy into clear product requirements.
  • Experience taking a concept from launch and iterating through multiple versions to enhance customer experience and business value.
  • Strong business acumen, including experience working with financial metrics such as revenue, bookings, attrition, and profitability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and with subject matter experts.
  • Self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical aptitude to understand complex technical concepts and simplify them for different audiences.
  • Experience with accounting systems or exposure to the real estate industry is a plus.
  • Prior experience using Design Thinking or Lean Startup methodologies is a plus.
  • Background in coding or web development.
  • Experience with Salesforce development is a plus.

Qualifications

  • University Degree or College Diploma.
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with multiple departments and subject matter experts.
  • Self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent follow-up skills required.
  • A technical aptitude for understanding technical concepts and simplifying them.
  • Experience using a development task management system for backlog prioritization.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with website building, CRM systems, marketing automation systems, or the real estate industry.
  • Experience collaborating with remote teams.
  • Understanding of SCRUM, Agile Development Methodology, and how they interact with the project life-cycle.
  • Experience with Jira and/or Aha!.
  • Attended Pragmatic Marketing Product Management training.
