- This role sits within the Product Comms team, part of the Platform Data & Strategy (PDS) department at Sony Interactive Entertainment.
- Goal: maximize impact of launch and in-life performance of products/services through detailed communications.
- Operate as strategic partner to product/business stakeholders, influencing product positioning and market impact.
- Growing on-the-ground presence in the US; exciting time as the team expands.
About the role
- Accountable for assigned Product Comms projects from inception to completion.
- Improve Project Management processes and take lead delivering comms locally in the US.
- Report to Senior Manager, Product Comms.
- Make judgement calls on project scope, strategic approach, and stakeholder engagement balancing local and global priorities.
What you will do
- Project lead multiple complex, cross-functional projects with high senior visibility.
- Define, standardize and evolve Product Comms project management approach; support and improve application.
- Act as senior, on-the-ground representative for Product Comms in the US; lead local product demo and event delivery.
- Facilitate engagement with product, PMO, and business teams across the US to raise profile and influence.
What weβre looking for
- 5+ years project/program management experience; deep understanding of methodologies and their strengths/limitations.
- Expert proficiency with Project Management tools like Wrike, Asana, MS Project, JIRA, and MS Excel.
- Technically minded and eager to learn new technologies deeply (hardware and software).
- Strong systems-thinking ability with experience in process optimization and scaling.
- Comfort presenting to large senior groups in person with passion.
- Interest and passion for video gaming.
- Travel to other California locations (SD, LA) multiple times a year and to the UK minimum twice annually.
- Work aligns closer to UK hours 2-3 days per week.
Desirable experience
- Knowledge of product (hardware/software) development lifecycles and go-to-market processes.
- Experience working with business operations or shaping product market approaches.
- Experience in a creative function including design, communications, PR/Marketing.
- Games industry experience.
