  • Own prompt systems, datasets, and evaluation frameworks powering Cantina's platform.
  • Bridge research and product with strategic reasoning about model behavior and user experience.
  • Shape how bots think, speak, and act balancing short-term product needs and long-term goals.
  • Directly impact consistency, expressiveness, and realism of AI characters at scale.

What You9ll Do

  • Define and author behavior system prompts shaping bot personality, emotion, dialect, and social behavior across text, voice, image, and video.
  • Identify personality traits making AI personas compelling and create datasets and prompt structures replicating those traits.
  • Prototype new bot traits and product features through prompt engineering with iterative evaluation.
  • Balance feature development with behavioral consistency and quality across the ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with research on behavioral evaluations measuring bot performance and quality.
  • Partner with product, design, and engineering to translate creative intent and feedback into scalable systems.
  • Review and refine prompts advancing to production, establishing best practices.
  • Track and improve emerging bot behavior issues, driving prompt-level solutions.
  • Document prompting strategies and guidelines to scale prompt development across teams.
  • Support research and ML by delivering meta-prompts and evaluating new model behavior.

What You9ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering and LLM feature development end-to-end.
  • Strong skills in writing, testing, and iterating complex multi-step and system prompts.
  • Deep understanding of LLM capabilities, limitations, and input design impact on behavior.
