Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end underwriting and verification product domain across credit, fraud, income, identity decisioning, and agent review workflows within the personal lending funnel.
- Define and execute the multi-quarter roadmap for decision engines, including rule orchestration, model deployment, experimentation frameworks, and automation strategy.
- Lead integrations and optimization of third-party data providers such as LexisNexis, Socure (or similar), credit bureaus, fraud/identity vendors, and income verification partners.
- Drive implementation and scaling of document processing and automation platforms (e.g.- Inscribe, Ocrolus, Instabase) to increase straight-through processing and reduce manual review dependency.
- Partner closely with underwriting agents and operations teams to design intuitive tooling, case management workflows, and review experiences that improve efficiency, quality, and compliance.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of product management experience, with significant focus on underwriting, credit, fraud, or decisioning platforms in fintech or consumer lending.
- Deep experience with credit underwriting systems and fraud decisioning tools, including hands-on experience implementing or managing decision engines.
- Experience integrating and optimizing third-party data providers.
- Strong structured thinking and execution excellence. You can translate strategy into a clear plan, define meaningful milestones and metrics, and deliver consistently.
- Strong analytical skills to surface insights and recommendations from customer feedback and performance dashboards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable driving alignment across senior leaders and diverse teams.
- Demonstrated experience building or improving agent-facing underwriting tools and workflows, with understanding of manual review operations, queue management, case handling, and quality controls.
- Strong understanding of underwriting workflows, risk-based decisioning, experimentation, and operational tradeoffs with a track record of measurable improvements.
