Responsibilities
- Defining a strategy and creating a 1-2 year roadmap for your assigned areas.
- Serve as an advocate for your product area in discussions with clients and a liaison with management, engineering, and stakeholders to provide regular updates on product development and operations.
- Lead Product Discovery and Early Adopter Programs to ensure product success and build iteratively.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to perform competitive analysis, develop product positioning and messaging, and pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals.
- Execute on the roadmap by making meaningful (sometimes difficult) prioritization decisions focussed on highest impact.
- Interpret high level business and product requirements and create feature requirements, user stories and relevant product backlog items.
- Own the build-out of the capability, market-testing, validation, go-to-market, success narrative and further enhancements.
- Evangelize your product, your product releases with data-driven narratives to the field teams.
- Communicating across teams to ensure consistent backlog alignment; Ensuring that all engineering teams within your purview have everything they need to size, accept and execute on work.
Essential Criteria
- 8+ years prior experience in product management, preferably in B2B SaaS domain.
- A proven track record of successfully managing and launching products, preferably in a similar industry or domain.
- Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to develop a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with the company's goals, make strategic decision to drive Business goals.
- Solid understanding of the technical aspects of product development to effectively collaborate with engineering teams and make informed decisions.
- Strong collaboration skills are essential for working closely with designers, engineers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct market research, interview customers, analyze competitors, and identify opportunities for product innovation.
- Comfortability to analyze data and make decisions based on data insights by defining key product metrics, tracking performance, and using data to drive product improvements and optimizations.
- Adaptable and agile in their approach to handle change, ambiguity, and quickly adjust strategies based on market feedback.
- Demonstrated experience using quantitative and qualitative data to drive improvements in user-generated content quality, conversion rate, or time-on-page.
- Previous experience in API integrations and Shopify is a plus.
