About 7shifts

7shifts is a scheduling and payroll platform designed to help restaurant teams thrive. With an easy-to-use app and industry-specific solutions, 7shifts saves time, reduces errors, and helps keep costs in check for over 55,000 restaurants.

Role Overview

As the Product Manager for Payroll & Tips, you’ll own the strategy and execution for the financial heartbeat of 7shifts. You’ll help restaurants solve their most critical challenge: ensuring staff are paid accurately and fairly, every single time.

This role spans the entire financial lifecycle within our platformβ€”from the moment a tip is earned to the second a paycheck is processed. You’ll be responsible for scaling our payroll product and refining our industry-leading tipping tools, balancing the delicate math of tip-outs with the high stakes of financial accuracy.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for payroll and tips, aligned to company priorities and customer impact
  • Drive alignment across Engineering, Design, and Data from discovery through delivery
  • Make prioritization and tradeoff decisions across usability, regulatory risk, technical constraints, and business outcomes
  • Partner with Product Marketing to shape positioning, launches, and adoption strategies
  • Define success metrics, monitor performance, and use data and customer insight to continuously improve the product
  • Stay close to customers and the regulatory landscape, validating ideas through research, testing, and iteration
  • Deliver simple, reliable solutions in a fast-moving environment where trust and accuracy are critical

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, ideally within Fintech, Payroll, or Tip Management
  • Proven end-to-end product ownership, from discovery and PRD authoring through agile delivery and post-launch optimization, with a strong focus on quality and follow-through
  • A data-informed approach to decision-making, including defining success metrics such as KPIs and OKRs, validating hypotheses, and using product analytics to drive iteration
  • The ability to build alignment across cross-functional partners and leadership, managing stakeholder expectations and shipping cohesive solutions without direct authority
  • A user-centric mindset, grounded in customer interviews, research, and competitive analysis to turn real problems into simple, scalable product solutions

It’d be Even Cooler If You Had

  • Previous experience in the restaurant-tech industry

Compensation

The base compensation range for this position is CAD $96,000 - CAD $144,000. This range reflects the full growth path for the role, from building core skills to accomplished performance, through to role mastery.
