Your Mission
Engine is looking for a Product Manager, Catalog Intelligence to own the roadmap for how travel content is sourced, enriched, validated, and optimized across our platform. This role sits at the intersection of AI/ML, catalog quality, customer trust, and conversion across all of Engine’s travel verticals — hotels, cars, and flights. You’ll define and lead a content strategy that leverages modern AI where it provides real leverage, while building scalable systems and pipelines that ensure our members see accurate, compelling, and decision-ready content at every step of their journey. This is a high-impact product space with clear business levers: better content improves conversion, attach, retention, and customer satisfaction. You’ll bring structure to ambiguity, experiment thoughtfully, and partner deeply with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Supply, and Operations to build a content ecosystem that scales with Engine’s growth.
What You’ll Do
Own the Content Product Vision & Roadmap
- Set and drive a multi-quarter product strategy for Engine’s travel content ecosystem across hotels, cars, and flights — balancing quality, scale, speed, and business impact.
- Define what “great content” means at Engine (accuracy, completeness, freshness, relevance, and utility), and translate that into product requirements.
- Build a roadmap that blends AI-first automation with practical operational workflows where needed.
Build Content Systems
- Partner with Engineering and Data Science to introduce and evolve tooling across content workflows, such as:
- Attribute extraction and normalization from noisy sources
- Deduping, entity resolution, and catalog clustering
- Automated enrichment of missing or stale content
- Structured validation and exception handling for edge cases
- Design scalable pipelines that improve content coverage and quality across verticals, including source ingestion, transformation, storage, and delivery to product surfaces.
- Use experimentation and data-driven iteration to validate content improvements and prioritize the highest-value system enhancements.
Improve Conversion and Trust Through Better Content
- Influence key funnel and marketplace metrics tied to content (e.g., search-to-detail CTR, detail-to-book conversion, attach, bounce rate, cancellations/complaints driven by content mismatch).
- Identify high-impact content gaps and systematically close them through product, pipeline, and partner improvements.
- Ensure content is aligned with what we’re actually selling (inventory, policies, fees, restrictions, and attributes) to reduce downstream friction and surprises.
Deep Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Supply, and Content Ops to deliver end-to-end improvements.
- Create clear specs, success metrics, and launch plans; keep teams aligned through ambiguity.
- Influence stakeholders through data, crisp narrative, and strong product judgment.
What We’re Looking For
Core Qualifications
- 4–7+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in marketplaces, e-commerce, travel, fintech, or data-heavy domains.
- Proven ability to lead ambiguous, technical product areas from zero → one with real business impact.
- Strong analytical toolkit: comfortable querying data (SQL), defining KPIs, and using data to drive decisions.
- Experience working closely with Engineering and Data Science teams on integrated data products.
- Track record of shipping product improvements that moved measurable customer and/or revenue metrics.
You Might Be a Great Fit If You…
- Love messy datasets and see content quality as a solvable engineering + product problem.
- Can go from strategy → PRD → launch → measurement → iteration quickly.
- Think in systems, not one-off projects.
- Are excited to use cutting-edge AI and automation to improve real-world customer decisions.
- Are willing to experiment, learn fast, and push into undefined spaces.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with travel content, vertical catalog systems, or marketplace inventory products.
- Familiarity with large-scale data pipelines, automation, or ML-adjacent product surfaces.
- Experience using or building LLM-based tools in production.
Applications for this role will be accepted through April 21, 2026 or until the role is filled.
