They rely on the websites and apps they trust to guide them to a home for rent, and how well we serve them shapes whether they come back.

And they do come back, because today’s renter is tomorrow’s buyer and homeowner. Every renter we help find a home is a future customer we can guide through their entire real estate journey. That’s our opportunity: to become the site renters trust most, and the one they stay with when they’re ready to buy.

That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a talented product leader to own rentals on Redfin and across our family of sites. You’ll set the strategy for how renters discover and land their next home, lead and grow a team of four product managers who together own the entire rentals experience, and partner across the company to make the renter-to-buyer journey seamless. You’ll also own the experience for everyday homeowners who as landlords use Redfin to find a renter and fill their vacant property, as well as other sources of inventory that give renters the most options when they’re looking for a new place to call home.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Product, Rentals and AI.

About the Role

• Set the product strategy for rentals across Redfin, Rent.com, and ApartmentGuide.com on web and apps
• Own the rentals roadmap end-to-end, from search and discovery to re-engagement and contacting properties
• Lead, coach, and grow a team of four product managers who own the rentals experience across the sites and apps
• Build the bridge from renting to buying, making Redfin the natural next step for renters ready to become homeowners
• Improve the self-service experience for Redfin homeowners posting their property for rent, making it easier for non-professionals to list and fill their vacancy for free
• Own a set of rentals growth and engagement metrics, guide the team to experiments that answer real questions, and use the results to inform rollouts and next steps
• Keep execs and business stakeholders aligned with clear updates on strategy, tradeoffs, results, and what’s next

About You

• Passionate about Redfin’s mission
• 8+ years of product management experience shipping consumer web and mobile experiences to millions of users
• 3+ years managing and developing product managers, with a track record of growing strong PMs and building healthy, high-performing teams
• Experience in real estate, proptech, or the rentals space is a plus, but not required
• A strategic thinker who can zoom out to write a multi-quarter vision and zoom in to unblock a PM on a tricky product decision
• Confident making data-driven decisions through deep analysis and rigorous A/B testing
• Deep customer empathy. You watch real renters search, you read the support tickets, and you build for what people actually do
• Strong communicator who can take a messy problem space and turn it into a clear plan that engineers, designers, and execs can all rally around
• A fast learner who picks up new subject areas quickly and isn’t afraid of ambiguity
• AI-native preferred. You use AI tools daily to write better specs, prototype faster, analyze data, and generally do more with less, and you push your team to do the same
