We are seeking a strategic, technically fluent Sr. Product Manager to join the MeridianLink Mortgage product team β€” the team behind our mortgage lending origination platform. In this role, you will own a defined area of the mortgage lending experience, partnering closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver high-impact improvements that matter to the financial institutions and borrowers we serve.

MeridianLink Mortgage is a complex, deeply integrated platformwith a large and growing customer base. The PM team works collaboratively across product areas β€” from origination workflows and loan pricing/decisioning to API integrationsand digital borrower experiences. You will contribute meaningfully to team strategy while driving focused execution within your domain.

Responsibilities

Discovery & Product Delivery

  • Own the roadmap for your product area within MeridianLink Mortgage,from discovery through delivery and iteration.

  • Lead continuous discovery through customer interviews, usage analytics,and collaboration with financial institution partners to identify high-value problems worth solving.

  • Write crisp, well-reasoned PRDsand user stories that give engineering teams the clarity they need to build with confidence.

  • Drive agile delivery ceremoniesand maintain a healthy, well-prioritized backlog aligned to team OKRs.

  • Defineand monitor product KPIs for your area, using data to inform prioritizationand demonstrate business impact.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with fellow PMs on the Mortgage team to ensure coherence across product areasand alignment on platform-level decisions.

  • Partner with Engineering, UX, Sales, Customer Success,and Compliance to drive alignmentand unblock delivery.

  • Serve as the product expert for your domain β€” representing customer needs internallyand translating them into clear requirements.

  • Contribute to team-level strategy discussionsand help shape the broader Mortgage product roadmap over time.

Innovation & Domain Expertise

  • Identify opportunities to incorporate modern capabilities β€” such as AI/ML-assisted decisioning, intelligent automation,and API extensibility β€” into your product area.

  • Stay current on mortgage lending trends, fintech competitive dynamics,and regulatory developments(CFPB, TILA, ECOA, fair lending) relevant to your domain.

  • Champion thoughtful UXand API-first design patterns that keep MeridianLink Mortgage competitive with emerging fintech challengers.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degreeand 4+ years of relevant product management experience.

  • Proven track record of owning a product area end-to-end β€” discovery, definition, delivery,and iteration.

  • Experience managing API-integrated software productswith multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Strong command of agile methodologiesand modern product discovery practices(Jobs-to-Be-Done, continuous discovery, etc.).

  • Analytical mindset β€” comfortable using dataand product analytics tools to drive decisionsand measure outcomes.

  • Exceptional writtenand verbal communication skills; able to simplify complexityand align diverse stakeholders.

  • Deep customer empathy β€” you’ve invested real time understanding usersand translated those insights into shipped improvements.

Strongly Preferred

  • Domain experience in mortgage lending, loan origination systems(LOS), or financial institution software.

  • Familiarity with API/integration products β€” you understand developer needsand how platform extensibility creates value.

  • Exposure to AI/ML in product contexts β€” you’ve thought carefully about where intelligent automation adds genuine value vs. hype.

  • Experience working with or selling to banks, credit unions, or other regulated financial institutions.

  • Working knowledge of consumer lending regulations(TILA, ECOA, fair lending, CFPB guidance).

Compensation Range: $114,593 - $195,400
