Tl;dr

alago brings AI-powered project management to the construction industry. As our Product Manager, you’ll own a core product area end to end: how messy project data becomes an early warning that a €200M project is about to go wrong. Full-time, Munich.

About alago

Imagine if building a building were as easy as building software. Every moving part visible, every change traceable, every decision still carrying its reasoning six months later.

Software got there by making its own history legible — every commit, every diff. Construction never did. A €200M project runs on plan sets nobody can diff and decisions buried in email, so the same mistakes happen over and over, and the industry loses $1.6 trillion a year to it.

That’s what we’re fixing. Eleven people, 15+ customers, €1M+ pre-seed from leading construction-tech VCs and one of Germany’s largest project developers. The product is live and used daily on real construction sites — which means the interesting work is only starting.

Tasks

What you’ll do

  • Translate deeply technical construction workflows into decisions engineers can build from
  • Own a product area end to end: From discovery on site to shipped, instrumented, measured features
  • Shape the roadmap: Balance what the next customer needs against the foundations that make the next ten cheap
  • Make the hard prioritization calls on scope and sequencing, and defend them
  • Define what “working” means: pick the metrics, instrument them, read production data, iterate
  • Treat LLM behavior as a product problem, not a research one — evals, fallbacks, and what the user sees when the model is wrong

Requirements

Must-haves

  • 2+ years shipping product — as a product manager, or as a UI/product designer who’s been making product calls and not just screens
  • You’ve shipped something where the hard part was the data model, not the button
  • Hands-on experience with LLM-powered features in production — you know what breaks and how users react when it does
  • Genuine willingness to put on boots and go on site until you know the domain better than we do

Bonus

  • AEC background
  • Founder experience, or product work at a company under 20 people
  • You already build your own agents and internal tools to do your job faster

Not a match on every line? Apply anyway — potential and learning curve count.

Benefits

You’ll be one of our first product hires, which means you own critical parts of the product end to end and work directly with the founders. It’s early enough that you help decide how the company works, and the path from here goes to either top individual contributor or leading product as we grow, depending on where you’re strongest.

Competitive compensation with equity.

Hybrid: three days a week in our central Munich office (WERK1).

Plus: Wellpass, team dinners twice a week, relocation support.
