Job Description

  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to gather user requirements, identify technical constraints, and advocate for the end user.
  • Map out the user journey through storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to ensure a logical and frictionless experience.
  • Design intuitive UI elements—from navigation systems and search functionality to interactive widgets—that feel seamless and modern.
  • Develop high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes to demonstrate functionality and aesthetic direction to stakeholders.
  • Create original graphic assets, sketches, and layout designs that align with the organization’s brand identity.
  • Present drafts to internal teams, identify UX friction points (such as responsiveness or accessibility issues), and refine designs based on real-world user feedback.
  • Maintain and evolve our design language, ensuring strict adherence to style standards for typography, color theory, and iconography.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of UI/UX or Product Design experience, ideally in SaaS or complex workflow environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, and design system management.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking, high-fidelity prototypes, and work across complex interfaces.
  • Proven ability to translate complex workflows into intuitive, user-friendly experiences.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing to validate and iterate on design decisions.
  • High empathy for end users, particularly within church or nonprofit contexts, with a genuine interest in serving their needs through thoughtful design.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment alongside product, marketing, operations, and engineering teams.
  • Experience building or contributing to design systems at scale.
  • Foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to better collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Experience leading user research sessions and synthesizing insights into design improvements.
  • Familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits following a 60-day waiting period.
  • Paid sick time.
  • Other company benefits.
