Job Description
- Contributes to ONCβs mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions
- Completes essential tasks in the technology department
- Undergo changes to our website and conceptualize new designs in Figma
- Work on the design for our mobile app
- Create designs for graphics, newsletters, advertisements, fliers etc.
- Work closely with the COO, CEO, Team Lead, Director of Technology and other UI/UX Design Interns while also working independently
Requirements
- Interest in UI/UX Design or working towards a degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science and/or related fields
- Experience with the modern design and prototyping software Figma required
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, ReactJS or similar front-end frameworks preferred
- Knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop a plus
- Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, even during conflict
- Ability to work remotely and on their own schedule in order to make deadlines
- Ability to attend the weekly I.T. meetings
- Ability to attend weekly UI/UX Design team meetings
- Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
