A patient relearning to speak after a stroke opens myReha every morning. You’ll set the visual standard they experience.

nyra health builds the digital tools that make neurological rehabilitation work outside clinic walls: myReha, the patient therapy app, and nyra insights, the clinician platform. 100+ clinics, 100K+ patients across DACH. 3× MRR growth target for 2026. €20M Series A. UI & Design Systems is a brand new role at nyra health. You’ll be the person who sets the visual and interaction standard across myReha and nyra insights and builds the component system that makes that standard consistent and scalable across iOS, Android, and web. You’ll work directly with the Product Design Lead, Brand Designer, frontend engineers, and founders.

What you’ll shape

• UI craft: own the visual quality of myReha and nyra insights across every screen, every state, every platform. You set the bar and own it.
• Design system: build on and evolve our existing component library and token architecture in Figma across iOS (SwiftUI), Android (Compose), and web. The foundation you strengthen is what every patient interaction runs on.
• AI-ready infrastructure: structure components and tokens so AI tooling can generate, validate, and extend them. You’ll help shape how nyra approaches AI-assisted component generation.
• Design-to-code parity: work as a peer with frontend engineers. You care how it ships, not just how it looks in Figma, and you follow through until it does.
• Accessibility: WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA built into every component from day one. Our patients include people with neurological conditions and motor impairments. Accessibility is craft here, not a checklist.
• Documentation: write usage guidelines that engineers and designers actually use. Build contribution patterns that make the team faster and more consistent as we grow.

Job requirements

Must-have

• Exceptional UI craft: interfaces that feel considered, not assembled. Typographic rhythm, optical spacing, restraint with color, purposeful motion, thorough state design. Your portfolio shows pixel-level polish, not just system architecture.
• Strong Figma skills across components, variables, auto-layout, and shared libraries. You build comfortably inside a system and grow into multi-platform library work.
• Design systems experience: you’ve worked within a component library and token setup (base, semantic, component layers) and grasp how a system stays consistent across platforms.
• You work as a peer with frontend engineers: you speak their language, understand constraints, and don’t let implementation drift
• 5+ years shipping digital products across mobile and/or web, with a portfolio you’re proud of
• Hands-on and proactive: you think in solutions, move things forward, and ask early when something’s unclear
• AI in your practice: you already use AI tools daily in your design and delivery work, and you’re excited to push how AI accelerates craft

Nice to have

• Experience designing for users with cognitive or physical impairments
• Healthcare, mental health, or assistive technology background

The process

1. Intro call (~30 min) — background, motivations, role, and nyra
2. Portfolio walkthrough (~45 min) — walk us through your best UI work and the design system you’re most proud of. We want to understand your decisions, not just see the output: what were the constraints, what did you trade off, what would you change?
3. Founders' interview (~45 min) — your approach, philosophy, and how you’d shape patient experience at nyra
