About the Role
We’re looking for a UI/UX Design Engineer who enjoys both designing user experiences and building them.
This isn’t a traditional UI designer role, nor is it purely a frontend engineering position. You’ll own the experience from concept to implementation—designing intuitive interfaces, creating polished interactions, and developing production-ready front-end components that bring those experiences to life.
You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and AI creatives teams to build fast, elegant, and highly engaging user experiences for a consumer AI product.
What You’ll Do
- Design intuitive user flows, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity interfaces.
- Translate designs into responsive, production-ready front-end experiences.
- Build and maintain reusable UI components and contribute to our design system.
- Improve user experience by refining interactions, animations, accessibility, and visual consistency.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to rapidly prototype and iterate on new features.
- Help shape the overall product experience through thoughtful design decisions and technical implementation.
- Stay up to date with modern UI/UX trends, front-end technologies, and AI product experiences.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, frontend engineering, or Design Engineering.
- Strong portfolio showcasing both product design and shipped web experiences.
- Proficiency with Figma for UI/UX design and prototyping.
- Strong frontend development skills using: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript and React (preferred) or another modern frontend framework.
- Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and modern web standards.
- Experience creating reusable UI components and design systems.
- Strong eye for typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, and interaction design.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with rapid iteration.
Nice to Have
- Experience with motion design and micro-interactions.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or modern CSS frameworks.
- Experience building AI-powered products or consumer-facing SaaS applications.
- Knowledge of animation libraries such as Framer Motion or GSAP.
- Understanding of usability testing and UX research.
