What youโll be doing
- Challenging team thinking and senior stakeholder decisions by utilising research-based evidence and insights
- Utilising methods such as ethnographic and field research, diary studies, surveys, user/usability testing (remote and in-person), guerrilla research, and any other methods you find impactful to provide fast and accurate feedback
- Acting as a thought leader in the domain of research, while advocating for the people who could use our products
- Helping shape strategic direction by conducting foundational, iterative, and evaluative research, taking into account both business and user needs
- Defining and designing qualitative and quantitative research studies in collaboration with Designers, Engineers, and Product Owners
- Examining existing data and product designs to generate hypotheses and plans for high-impact research
- Collaborating and building relationships with UX Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, Program Managers, and other cross-functional partners
- Prioritising and driving research to improve user experience
- Driving change by communicating compelling findings to stakeholders in the company
- Making research findings convincing and actionable for both research experts and non-experts
- Working closely with product and design teams to identify research topics
- Managing and prioritising research plans through ambiguous and fast-changing environments, aligning and efficiently executing critical insights
What you'll need
- 3+ years of experience as a researcher and/or research coordinator for qualitative research studies, including usability/user testing, surveys, field research, or user interviews
- A bachelorโs degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience using Qualtrics or an equivalent software
- Broad knowledge and hands-on experience of a wide range of UX research methods across the qualitative, quantitative, attitudinal and behavioural dimensions
- Experience with behavioural data analysis, designing surveys and experimental research, and analysing large datasets using appropriate statistical methods
- Product research experience in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting
- Strong communication skills to evangelise, present, confidently explain concepts, and influence at all levels in both English and Spanish
- Great customer empathy and a never-settle mindset to solve customer problems
- To be comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Extraordinary organisational skills and a meticulous eye for detail
- Strong listening and analytical skills
- Design thinking, visual communication, information design, and/or wireframing skills
